March Greetings!
With Spring just around the corner, we anxiously await warmer weather, longer days of sunshine and the beauty of flowers and green grass!
This month we continue the Season of Lent - a time for Prayer, Almsgiving and Fasting. As part of our Lenten journey, students will be attending the 9:00 a.m. Mass each Friday during Lent.
Please take advantage of the many “free” resources available on our school and parish websites to enhance your Lenten journey.
Our School Gala will be held on Friday, March 15th at Flowerfield in St. James. This is a major fundraising event for our school. This year we will honor Monsignor Walden, our former Pastor for over 20 years!
Please keep in mind that all Transportation Requests for the 2024-2025 school year are due to your home school district by April 1st. By now, you should have received the required forms directly from your home school district. If you have not yet received the forms, those districts that provided us with their forms are posted on our school website. If your district is not among those posted, please contact your home district. Please take care of this sooner rather than later in order to avoid any issues.
This month we also honor our patron – St. Patrick. St. Patrick often used shamrocks to explain the Holy Trinity and entire kingdoms were eventually converted to Christianity after hearing Patrick's message.
St. Patrick preached and converted all of Ireland for 40 years. He worked many miracles. After years of living in poverty, traveling and enduring much suffering he died March 17, 461. He died at Saul, where he had built the first Irish church.
St. Patrick, Patron Saint of our Parish and School, pray for us!
Sincerely,
Rebecca Darmanin

“What are you looking for?”
John was standing with two of his disciples, and as he watched Jesus walk by, he said, “Behold, the Lamb of God.” The two disciples heard what he said and followed Jesus. Jesus turned and saw them following Him and said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” – which translated means Teacher -, “where are you staying?” He said to them, “Come and you will see.” John 1:35
As parents, what are you looking for as far as your child’s education? Academics, values, opportunities? St. Patrick School is a parish school that has been providing quality education to area students for over 50 years. We follow strict academic guidelines and are blessed with a dedicated faculty which allows each student to reach their maximum academic potential. At the same time, we foster the social, emotional and moral growth of each student through the inclusion of our religious studies and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Students receive personalized attention and benefit from the friendly and loving atmosphere that we provide.
Graduates of St. Patrick School have gone on to successful careers in all the trades, business, medicine, law, and religious life. All of this has been accomplished within the framework of our Catholic tradition which includes among other things monthly attendance at Mass.
As Jesus invited the first of his disciples to “come and see”, St. Patrick School invites you to “come and see” what we have to offer.
