Jennifer Channer has a Masters of Science in Education from Hofstra University and holds dual certification in both Elementary Education and Special Education. She has taught Universal Pre -Kindergarten for Great Neck School District, as well as Kindergarten, Third Grade, and Fifth Grade for North Merrick School District. Mrs. Channer has been trained in Fundations, a phonological/phonemic awareness, phonics and spelling program, and enthusiastically employs its curriculum in her classroom. She believes in creating a dynamic classroom environment, that incorporates "hands on" learning through scientific investigation, artistic and literary connections. Mrs. Channer started teaching full day Pre-Kindergarten at Saint Patrick's School in Smithtown in September of 2015 and feels blessed to be a part of their loving school community!
Mrs. Channer is a mother of three wonderful children. All her children attend Catholic schools on Long Island. Her eldest daughter will be graduating with honors from Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Syosset in June of 2016. Mrs. Channer always dreamed of a career in education, and is grateful to have both her children and herself part of the Catholic school community.
