Biography

I began teaching Full time at St. Patrick School in 2006.  Since some families may be new to St.Patrick's, I would like to share my personal and professional background with you.  I have been married to my husband Philip since 1987.  Together we have twin daughters who are the light our lives.  They are graduates from Commack High School and are currently attending SUNY New Paltz. They are English Major and Secondary Education Majors with minors in Italian and Deaf Studies will be playing Softball for the team at New Paltz.
I first taught at St. Patrick School as a substitute teacher and as leave replacement for a few years prior to beginning my current position teaching First Grade.  At the same time I also worked as a substitute teacher in the Public School System for several school districts in the area.  Additonally, II have taught as a Catechist for several years at Christ The King in Commack, my home parish.  After careful consideration, I have chosen to pursue my teaching career as a Catholic School Educator.  One reason for this is due to the fact that I feel at home in this setting.  I have attended Catholic Schools throughout my educational career.  I spent my first eight years at St. Pius X School in Rosedale. Queens. I continued my education at St. Agnes Cathedral High School in Rockville Centre and completed my undergraduate degree at St. Joseph's College in Patchogue.  I am currently completing a Masters Degree in Reading and Special Education at CW Post.
Although I love the family atmosphere, the main reason I elected to teach in the Catholic School system is the freedom it affords me to help shape my students lives not only academically, but spiritually and morally as well.  In the public school setting you are limited in these areas.  I am looking forward to working together to guide your children in all these areas and I look forward to watching them grow into good citizens and good catholics.  I thank you in advance for your continued support and prayers as I work toward becoming the teacher that your child will remember in years to come as the teacher who helped them to learn to read and write, but also how to think about their actions and hopefully make good choices.

I am looking forward to a great year and I thank you for sharing your children with me.
