Book Fair
enchanted book fair
The Book Fair was a great success. It was wonderful to see how excited the students were while they were selecting their next reads. I have already purchased 4 more Cue robots with the proceeds. This brings us  to 10 Cue robots to use with the Middle School students as well as 10 Dot and Dash robots for the elementary grades.
Special thanks to the parent Volunteers: Mrs. Devery, Mrs. Gomez, Mrs Leone, Mrs. Lesk, Mrs. Sudentas, and Mrs. Walsh for helping the fair run so smoothly. Thank you to my 7th and 8th grade student crew for doing such a fantastic job setting up the fair. I hope to see you at the Spring Book Fair which has a dinosaur theme. What will Mrs. Weippert be wearing for that event?

What's Happening In Media Class

We are continuing to work with project based learning. Hour of Code is here! To celebrate, the 7th and 8th Middle School classes are animating their own Google Doodles in Scratch using Google CS First. Grade 6 is Animating A Name in Scratch.  Grade 5 continues  working on forces and aerodynamics. They will be using the cars they built to complete stem activities from Scholastic and NASCAR. Grade 4 is animating their names using coding in Scratch. Grades 1 through 3 are programming Dot and Dash robots. We can't wait to use the new sketch kits with the robots. Grade K is preparing for Christmas with a variety of teacher-created Advent and Christmas activities.
